AI Vs. Human Artists

AI has significantly developed in the last few years. One way it has done so is by being able to create art with little to no human input. These art pieces are called AI-generated works and are created by the AI machine collecting and then deep learning images of art across the internet. Using the data collected, the AI then uses statistical techniques to general new “original” art pieces. This process is often carried out without the consent or knowledge of the authors.

I write “original” because as the technology has developed, the argument that this AI works is unethical and, worse, copyright infringements.

However, while AI art pieces may be “perfect,” machines still create them. Therefore they cannot capture the feeling and nuance behind the art as humans do.
